Lowcountry Farmers Markets Begin to Open in March

Hilton Head farmers marketIt’s hard to believe, but it’s that time of year for the Hilton Head area’s farmers markets to open again and begin selling their amazing local produce and wares. Whenever you’ll be vacationing to Hilton Head, we’ve got the schedule of local farmers markets, so you can be sure and take home a little piece of the island with you! Here’s the current schedule:

The Shops in Sea Pines Center Farmer’s Market

10 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesdays

Buckwalter Place Farmers Market

2-6 p.m., Tuesdays

Buckwalter Place Blvd, Bluffton

 

Downtown Beaufort Farmer’s Market

2-6 p.m., Wednesdays, beginning May 1-September 25

West Street, Beaufort

 

Farmers Market Bluffton

Noon-4 p.m., Thursdays

Calhoun Street, Old Town Bluffton

 

Port Royal Farmers Market

8:30 a.m.-Noon, Saturdays, mid April-October

Heritage Park, Ribaut Road, Port Royal

 

Pick Pocket Plantation Farmers Market

10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturdays

Behind 54 Robert Smalls Parkway, Beaufort

 

Wondering what’s in season right now? You’ll likely find asparagus, beets, broccoli, cabbage, collards, onions, peas, strawberries and turnips if you head to the local farmers markets in March and April. Enjoy!
