5 Ways to Enjoy Hilton Head during National Bike Month

Hilton Head Bike RentalsMay is National Bike Month and Hilton Head Island is a great place to take a ride! Our island has 50 miles of paved bike paths perfect for cyclists of all ages and abilities, and we’ve even been named a Silver Level Bicycle Friendly community.

To encourage you to get out and explore the island on two wheels, we’ve got our top 5 ways to enjoy Hilton Head by bike:

1)      Take a ride on the beach! That’s something you probably can’t do at home and could there possibly be a better view? It’s also a better workout, as you pedal harder through the sand.

2)      Participate in the Chamber’s Bike and Dine Week and try a new restaurant. As part of Bike and Dine Week April 28-May 4, when you ride your bike to participating Hilton Head restaurants, you’ll get a special discount.

3)      Ride your bike to a new attraction. Map out a spot you’ve never seen on Hilton Head, such as some of our historic ruins or a beautiful seaside park, and ride your bike there.

4)      Try a tandem. We offer tandem bike rentals, so you and your child or you and your sweetheart can explore the island as a twosome.

5)      Find our crazy new bike rack! We won’t spill the secret on what it is, but head toward Coligny beach and see if you can spot it. If you can, post a picture on our blog!
