Plan your fall escape to Hilton Head Island to time with the popular annual Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival scheduled November 1-2. The festival is one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing automotive and motorsports enthusiast event weeks.

The festivities begin October 24-26 in Savannah, the birth place of Grand Prix racing. The Speed Classic road race kicks off the festival, providing an intimate look at the inner workings of racing.

The speed heads to Hilton Head on November 1 but with the focus on world-class automobiles. Imagine some of the most well-crafted, gorgeous cars in the world situated beneath majestic live oak trees draped with hanging moss. Held at the Port Royal Golf Club from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day, tickets range from $45-$625, depending on the event.

At the Car Club Jamboree, held November 1, car clubs from around the southeast bring the 15-20 cars that best represent their passion. Look for BMW, Maseratis, Corvettes, Mercedes-Benz, Mustangs, Ferraris and more. You can also test drive Teslas, Infinitis and Porsches at the event.

The Motoring Midway, both Saturday and Sunday, will feature vehicles owned by celebrities, athletes, politicians and notorious personalities. New this year, an exhibit of “Motoring Firsts” showcases vehicles that represent industry changers and major automotive firsts. Also on hand will be vintage watercrafts and motorcycles.

Which car would you love to see or drive?
