5 Fantastic Activities for Teens on Hilton Head Island

Hilton Head teensHere are our top 6 activities for teens on Hilton Head:

  • Stand up Paddleboarding – Stand up paddleboarding, or SUP, is the fastest growing water sport and a great way to enjoy the outdoors while getting a full body workout. Rent boards from Outside Hilton Head or Hilton Head Outfitters and then paddle in the ocean or one of the many creeks around the island.
  • Jet PackingIf your teen is at least 15 years old, he or she can take off over Shelter Cove Harbour on a jetpack that flies up to 30 feet above the water! They can even get a video of the experience to share with all their friends back home.
  • Teens ProgramOutside Hilton Head offers a variety of programs just for teens, including kayaking, boat rides, crabbing, tubing and an astronomy night hike.
  • BowlingStation 300, located in nearby Bluffton, is a 33,000 square foot entertainment center with 24 lanes, a bar & grill, Laser Maze and an arcade. If they tire of bowling, there’s plenty more to do!
  • Adventure Cove – A hot, but safe, spot for teens on the island is Adventure Cove, 18 Folly Field Road. The entertainment facility offers two mini golf courses and the island’s only arcade complete with redemption center. It’s a great place to meet other teens and enjoy an evening out.
  • Horseback Riding – Teens can take a Western style trail ride at Lawton Stables, located at Sea Pines Plantation. The ride winds through the 600-acre Sea Pines Forest Preserve. Younger siblings can enjoy a pony ride and the on-site animal farm.
